Maggie and I drove west on I10 yesterday. We took the Sam Houston Loop to the south around Houston and paid every few miles on that road. We finally made it past San Antonio and drove as far as Fort Stocton. Cheated and took a motel for the night. I really planned on going to El Paso, with predicted temperatures in the ninety's I headed out for Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico.
