I'm not keep ing the best record of where I've been and am trying to start a journal. The weather out here is really dry. I'm missing humidity, my skin looks like an alligators. I'm also missing being near water, i think I'm going to have to find a place near water.

I found Maggie under a trapped under a cottage at the campground. maitenence had to remove the plywood to get her out. How lucky I was the two canadian women were out sitting on their porch and I asked them about seeing a cat and there was Maggie meowing below by the waterpipe not able to squeeze out. Lucky me

Well thats my short film of Vegas at night. I'm now going back to check and see if Maggie might have shown up at the campground, since they were full till Tuesday I'm spending the night in Zion National Parks South campground. I managed to get in there this morning. Springdale is the name of the town at Zions entrance. It is a cute little mountain town.

I'm having trouble downloading today. When I'm able to I'll download more on a slide. I had to move out of the campground for the weekend where Maggie last was seen, so I'll go back after the Holiday to check on her. Yesterday I went to Bryce Canyon. Its beautiful a little different than Zion. I took some pics, but it was so cold and windy I deceided to come back when it warms a little. It was 57 today for a high there. From 89 North by Bryce Canyon Utah, I took scenic Route 14 west to Cedar City, well it was scenic, the elevation went above 9000 feet there was snow still in the forest near the road, at one point a deer crossed the road in front of me. These western states save money by not using quardrails on the roads. I see very few. So after I got to Cedar City thinking it is not warm enough and it is a holiday I drove I15 South stopped in Mesquit(I think thats how its spelled)a Nevada border town with casinos. Currently I'm in a Flying J Truckstop in Las Vegas Posting on Trackertravels.

Can you believe I met a Libra from New Zealand at Zion Ponderosa she is only one day younger than me to the year. We exchanged emails and they were off to Las Vegas and Death Valley. Whats amazing is that she has never really ridden a bike in New Zealand now she's a pro!!!
For the last few days I've been taking pics in Zion national Park. I moved to a campground nearby called Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort. For 10 dollars a night they have every activity you can think of. Of course there are drawbacks, the free internet is very slow, my air card with AT&T doesn't seem to work anywhere I've been so far and my iphone does'nt work here at all. The scenery is beautiful and I have been taking zillions of pics in the hope that two or three will be awesome. My biggest concern this morning is that Maggie hasn't come home yet this morning, usually she's out all night sleeps all day. You know I have been tenting for six weeks or so and only have hit one light drizzle and that was back in Florida's Panhandle.

The whole town has a very picturesque setting. Of course Maggie who was white and grey when we arrived is now red and grey. The temperature goes from 80 days to 50 nights. I'll have more pics comming soon.

Mathers Campground in the Grand Canyon was great Hot showers and anall. This morning as I was packing up a deer came I quess to say goodby. The people that work here live here in cute little cabins at least most of them do. I met another bicyclist his name Steve was biking from San Diego to Calgary, Canada. Another thing is it's pretty dry out here I can hang my clothes out go to dinner and they are dry when I come back even cotton. Well I think I'm off to Bryce Canyon or Zion.

Did I tell you I passed the continental divide on the way. I'm camped in The Grand Canyon now. It's all they say and more. Pics comming soon.
Did I tell you I was on the old Route 66 through Albequerque. I felt like I was on that TV show of the same name. Anyway leaving Grants by accident I took Route 53 to Gallop New Mexico. I stopped at the Ancient Cafe and had my Mothers day lunch. The scenery has been awesome as some say. Inspired by Jeff and Kyle's desription of The Grand Canyon I headed that way.

Getting in to Ruidoso my fan for the air in the Tracker stopped working plus a light came on. I was referred to the Texico station, lucky for me they were not busy. it turned out to be a fuse for that controlled the fan and the light. I had them do an oil change too since I've been putting all these miles on the car getting away from the 100 degree weather I've been encountering. The Texico station in Ruidoso had great friendly service.
